Community Profile

The City of Woodward is a very friendly thriving community nestled in the northeast corner of Dallas County. Just 25 Miles North of Des Moines, it is an easy commute on Hwy 141 to the metropolitan area. 

The business district has a nice variety of services to offer with many shops to chose from.  The City has nice parks, Woodward is the Trailhead at E Colton Park for the Recreational Trail, which spans the scenic Des Moines River. There are 3 churches and many civic organizations to choose from.

Education is a top priority in Woodward, offering the lastest technology and a strong curriculum.  A new addition has been built at Woodward-Granger Middle/High School. A new Football/Track facility 100% donations has been completed in the fall of 2010.
